Welcome to the official website of the Taiwan Display Union Association (hereinafter referred to as “TDUA”). All services provided on this website are offered in accordance with these Terms of Use. By completing registration or using any service on this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, as well as any future service items or related content that may arise. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please stop using the service immediately. Please note that the Terms may be updated from time to time in response to changes in societal conditions or legal requirements, and such updates will not be individually notified.

TDUA places great importance on the protection of your privacy. To help you understand how this website’s services and information operate and to safeguard your rights while clearly informing you how your personal data is collected, processed, and used, we ask that you carefully read the  “Privacy Policy and Personal Data Collection Notice”  before using this website.

To ensure smooth use of the services provided on this website, you agree to and commit to the following:

After completing the registration process for this service, you will receive a registration notice. You agree to and commit to the following:

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and password, and you agree to log out after each session.
• If your account is compromised or if you encounter any other security issues, please contact TDUA immediately.
• In the event of account theft, misuse, or any situation in which it is impossible to verify whether the account was used by you personally, TDUA should bear no responsibility unless it can be proven that the incident resulted from causes attributable to TDUA.
• If TDUA becomes aware that your account or password has been fraudulently used by others, we will immediately suspend the account.
• For your account security, please change your password periodically.

 


 Rules and Obligations of Use

In addition to complying with the Terms of Use, you agree to abide by all applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and agree not to engage in the following actions:

• Using this website under another person’s identity.
• Infringing upon the reputation, privacy, trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights, patents, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of others.
• Transmitting or posting any content, including text, an image, or any form of file that is false, defamatory, insulting, threatening, offensive, obscene, disruptive to public order or good morals, incites criminal activity, or is otherwise unlawful.
• Engaging in any behavior that causes disturbance, discomfort, or offense to other users of this website or third parties, or that violates general standards of online etiquette.

• Posting, transmitting, or sending spams, chain letters, advertisements, or any content that violates applicable laws.
• Transmitting, posting, publishing any files or content containing trojans, viruses, or any harmful code that interrupts, damages, or limits the functionality of computer software or hardware.
• Damaging or interfering with any data, activities, or functions provided on this website, or attempting in any way to infiltrate or harm any system related to the service, or using the service to carry out any intrusive or destructive actions.
• Violating any confidentiality obligations required by law or by contract.
• Collecting others’ email addresses or personal data without their consent.
• Involved in any other conduct that TDUA reasonably deems inappropriate.

 

If you violate, or are suspected of violating, any of the foregoing provisions, TDUA reserves the right, with or without prior notice, to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to this website at any time, and to remove or delete any related “User Content” from the website. TDUA should not be liable to you or any third party for any resulting consequences.

 

Modification to the Terms of Use and Delivery of Activity Information

• TDUA reserves the right to modify, temporarily suspend, or permanently discontinue the services (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. When notification is required by applicable laws or regulations, TDUA may notify users through announcement on the website, email, or other reasonable means. Any revision to the provisions will take effect upon the time of such announcement or notification.

• To ensure users receive the latest updates promptly, TDUA may send activity-related information, newsletters, or service notices to the contact information provided by users via email or other appropriate channels.


 

Intellectual Property Rights

All programs, software, and website content used for this service, including but not limited to information, data, images, files, website structure, webpage design, layout, and member content, are protected by intellectual property rights owned by TDUA or other rightful owners of this website. Such rights include but not limited to patents, copyrights, and proprietary technologies. No person may modify, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, perform reverse engineering, decode, or disassemble any part of the content without authorization. If a member wishes to quote or reproduce any of the above materials, prior written consent from TDUA must be obtained unless such use is expressly permitted by law. TDUA respects the others’ intellectual property rights and requires all members to do the same. The website reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account of users who may be involved in infringement activities. • TDUA may already be considering or developing ideas or proposals similar to your contribution.
• TDUA may use (or choose not to use) such contribution in any manner and through any media for public interest, promotion, or purposes related to the development of this website.
• Such contribution automatically become the property of TDUA without any liability to you, and you should have no right to claim any form of compensation or reimbursement from TDUA under any circumstances.

 Interruption and Malfunction of the Website

TDUA will employ reasonable technologies and measures to ensure the normal operation of the system and the website. However, the website may experience interruptions or malfunctions under the following circumstances:
 

  • During necessary maintenance or construction work on the website.
  • In the event of a sudden failure of electronic communication equipment.
  • Service is not available when electronic communication services subscribed to by the website are suspended.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation and application of the Terms of Use, as well as any dispute or controversy arising from the Terms of Use or from transaction behavior between an user and TDUA, should be governed by the laws of the Republic of China. The Taiwan Hsinchu District Court should be the court of first instance; provided, however, that if the law contains mandatory provisions regarding the competent court, such provisions should prevail.
